In what may be the worst tragedy in Weirdsdale history, an explosion has rocked the recently renovated Weirdsdale Water Treatment Facility. The blast was heard for miles and flooding is extensive. No word on the cause of the explosion. Emergency crews working to contain the rushing water are hampered by fires as a result of the explosion.
One WPD official, who wished to remain anonymous, said that the unofficial death toll could well exceed one hundred before day’s end. Local hospitals report mass causalities and are on emergency footing.
A makeshift triage center and morgue has been set up at the Weirdsdale Soccer Complex to handle the growing number of casualties.

Although there is no direct evidence to suggest terrorism, authorities are not ruling out the possibility and are leaving all investigative options on the table. Sheriff Bonk was quoted as saying “We are not ruling out the possibility and are leaving all investigative options on the table.”
